FOLLOW MY BOOK BLOG FRIDAY IS HOSTED BY PARAJUNKEE AND ALLISON CAN READ.
Question: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!
This one is a little tough for me. I almost always find something in a book that I love. It was not until I really dove into reviewing that I noticed things that annoy me. It was difficult really to pinpoint them, but I did my best.
Not enough dialog.
I am one of those people that has to always have a tv on, but don't usually watch it. I need noise in real life. And it gets boring in books when there is no noise. I need someone talking with something, even a tree for that matter. Or kissing. Even inner dialog is good. I don't care for a ton of info all at once. At least make that part interesting. Ugh!
Not enough romance.
:(
I know this probably sounds weird, but I live for YA romance!! It is that hanging moment right before the kiss; that electric charge between touching skin that just makes you tingle and happy. I get sad from romance deficiency. I need heavy doses or I go through withdrawal.
Stories to nowhere
*puts down the book* "What just happened? And why?" I have read a few of these types of books, and thought "What was the point of the MC doing what they did?" It drives me nuts when a story charges on with nowhere to go. I need something to grasp onto, a think, fat story that makes me want to burst.
You're winding me
Too much info dumped onto me at one time. I love a story that takes it's time with the back stories. Putting the pieces together and adding the situations up is half the fun. I don't need to know who did what and why all in one chapter. Make me work for it! Keep me intrigued.
Well, I hope all that made sense. I am pretty easy to please with books though.
YA + kissing + frustrating, hot boy= love
Leave me a link so I can bunnyhop on over :)

I agree about the dialogue thing... Details are good, but it gets boring if it's too much!

Hopping through. I agree with you on dialogue. It breaks up a book and is also one of the best ways to establish personality.

Too much info is bad, I agree!

Great answers, I am a tv blaring book reader too. I just like the background noise.
I hate the info-dump. Makes my head all jumbled and then it'll take me a while to figure out what's what in the book. Overall, it just leaves me feeling frustrated.
