Teaser Tuesday (3) Coffeehouse Angel

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors
Pages: 304
Release Date: November 9, 2010

Do you believe in angels? Katrina never did, but then she met one...
The first time Katrina saw Malcolm, he was lying in the alley behind her grandmother's coffeehouse. She didn't think that giving him a cup of coffee and yesterday's pastries was such a big deal. But now he's following her everywhere, claiming to be an angel who must repay her kindness by granting her deepest wish.
Although Malcolm happens to be pretty adorable, Katrina is also convinced that he's a little bit crazy. Whether she believes in him or not, Malcolm is determined o fulfill her wish for true happiness. So, what happens when you lie to an angel about what you most desire?

My Teaser!

"What would it be like to kiss him? That thought, which popped into my head without an invitation, surprised me with its vividness."
pg. 98

I am just about to finish my Fix Pick, and then begin Coffeehouse Angel. I have to say, I am pretty excited about this one. It seems lighthearted, and full of love. My type of book. Can't wait to start this one!

In My Mailbox Monday! (1)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme created by Kristi at The Story Siren that gives readers the chance to share the books they bought/received/swapped/rented over the past week.

I took a trip to Barnes & Noble with my hubby on Friday night, membership card and a great coupon in hand! After a quick dinner from Starbucks, I walked away with two great finds.
Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors

I have to say, I have been just itching to get my hands on Steel. It is true, even though I am absolutely addicted to paranormal romances, they can start to get a bit monotone from time to time. Adding a swashbuckling romance filled with pirate antics to the mix might just steer me away from my rut. So, onward and upward, matey!

Coffehouse Angel was a find that I just happened upon. I don't normally go for the books with brightly colored pics (yes, sometimes I judge books by the cover, guilty), this one struck a cord with my "angel addiction". This books sounds like a perfect, lighthearted read to lift me, yet again, from a rut.
