I'm Back!

Hello, hello, my lovelies and fellow addicts. I am back from vacation!
Here are some things that I have been up to:

I had a very Merry Christmas! PJ themed.

And a Happy New Year!

My sister's dog, Autumn, had puppies! The hubby and I fell in love with one and named her Ellie. She is 2 weeks old, so we have to wait until the end of February to take her home :( But, we visit her often and her eyes have now opened! (More pics to come! You won't be able to get away from the pics!)

With the new puppy coming home in less than two months, we have found a new apartment to move the brood to. And brood means mommy, daddy, kitties Aracos and Jace and baby puppy Ellie!

We will be moving in the middle of February. So I have to get my packing on. Whoo. Lol

I planned on getting caught up on my reading and reviews. In short...
I did none of that!!!
I ended up taking a true vacay from reading and blogging. But, I back now and ready to get my reading and blogging back on!

I have also decided to make a few changes to my blog. With the new puppy, I wanted to free up some of my nights to spend with the little cutie and my kitties, oh and the hubby to. So, I have decided to cut down on some of my memes.
I will be participating in In My Mailbox on Sundays, Waiting on Wednesday on Wednesdays, Follow Friday on Fridays, as well as reviews, author interviews, and giveaway.
Don't cry!
I am not changing much, just taking out a few things to spend a little more time with my family.
I do still absolutely love my blogging and addict family! And I hope you will still come visit me from time to time in my crazy little blogging world.

Along with the books on my blog, I have to decided to make my blog a little bit more personal. I know that it is not everybody's thing to hear a lot of personal things going on in book blogs, but I decided it would make me a little happier to share not only my book life, but a little bit of myself with my followers.
So, you will find more pics like this,
and this,
and maybe some of these,

I will try not to clutter too much of my blog with random stories about my life. I am thinking about making a button for my Random Life Stories (still thinking of a name) and I will also probably use a jump break. That way, those of you strictly looking for book related post will not have to scroll too much on my page to find what you are looking for. I am excited!

It is a new year, and change is on the wind. I promise not to change much! I hope you will enjoy the year as much I as plan on it.

Thanks so much for hanging out with this crazy, book addict!

Follow Friday (10)

Follow my Book Blog Friday is hosted by Parajunkee.

Q. What do I do when I are not reading?

Well, I blog. A lot. It is a tad bit addicting and definitely eats into my book time. I love finding cool new blogs to stalk. Muhaha!

Otherwise, I spend A LOT of time with my family. I have three sisters; two of which live within two miles of me :) And a very close cousin whom I just call my sister. Close enough.

Since it is summer time, we spend most of our time camping, swimming and grilling at one of our towns beaches, and just chillin' round a fire. I'm a simple gal. Give me a drink and my fam, and I am a happy camper!

I also spend mondo time witht the hubs. Don't you want one??

I also love to torment my two little kitties!

Aracos and Jace :)

(Yes, Jace does have golden eyes!)

I want to hear about your life! Drop me a line, or two!

TGIF (2)

TGIF is a Friday feature hosted by the fabulous Ginger at GReads! to recap the week on your blog and to answer a fun question.

Book Blogger Identity:
What occupies your time when you are not reading and/or blogging?
Great question! I do wonder about the blogs that I am following; who is this wonderful person behind this great blog??? Me? Well, I will tell you a little!

I work as a childcare teacher and Phonics teacher with some amazingly fun children; mostly fun anyways! I love children and love to teach them even more. Do I want to this for the rest of my life? I am just not sure yet. I would love to go back to school, but am definitely arguing with myself (my hubby wants me to go for it!) about what I should go for and when. I guess time will only tell.
I am also married to an amazing man named Cohl! He is my absolute everything. (sappy, I know. It happens.) We live with our sassy kitty Aracos.
I also have a large, very close family. My three sisters are my very best friends, along with my cousin. I am with them almost every weekend.
My hobbies basically only include reading, writing, and the occasional knitting project. Camping is also my favorite way to spend a summer weekend.
So, to shorten my story, I am still very much finding myself and my place in my own life.
What I do know is that I love my husband, I love my kitty, I love my family, and I love to read.
Here are some pics of my life and the people that I love! Enjoy!

Who Am I?

Hi! I am Sonny. That's me.

I read. I pretty much compare my reading habits to an addiction. Only, I don't feel that this particular addiction needs to be contained. I don't know, maybe I'm in that denial stage...
Ever since I can remember, I have had my head in the clouds. For me, it was quite literal. My sisters, cousins, friends, and I spent a lot of our childhood in a fantasy world. Fantastical characters, magical worlds, and and powerful societies were at our fingertips, in the shape of our backyard and the woods where we lived. Many of our summers were filled with these fantastic worlds, consuming our imaginations.
But it wasn't until years later that I realized the power of a good book.
Ever since, I have had my stuck nose in one, only coming up for air when it was needed.
Today, my nose is burried into to one on most days.
Words have power.

So, what do I do when I am not reading, you ask? Well it's all basically simple. Here is my story.

I have a close family; a close nit community in itself. I spend as much time as possible as I can with my family. They are the best people in my world. I work as a Phonics teacher and childcare teacher by day. I consider working in childcare some of the best days of my life. Children are the world.
I am also married to an incredible man named Cohl. Look, that's us.

We married nearly three years ago, and that is the day I like to think about as the first day of my life.
Now, we live in a small town in Wisconsin, the very same that we mostly grew up in. Funny how things work out.
We live happily with our sassy cat, Aracos, and are surrounded sweetly by love and books.
