In My Mailbox (8)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme created by Kristi at The Story Siren that gives readers the chance to share the books they bought/received/swapped/rented over the past week.

I have been o-so-busy recently, but I am back from camping and ready to dive back into reading, blogging, and reviewing! At the moment, I am reading Hexult and am hoping to finish it soon. After I finish my review, I will do my first ever author interview.
Yay!
In July, I will do another Giveaway as well, so stay tuned for the rad fun that is on its way!

Catalyst: The Passage of Hellsfire by Marc Johnson
Publication Date: May 19, 2011
Publisher: Longshot Publishing
Pages: 197

(From Goodreads)
For centuries, the kingdom of Alexandria has protected Northern Shala from the monstrous creatures lurking in the Wastelands. Now, a dark force threatens that fragile peace.

Far from home, Alexandria's princess is abducted. When a young villager named Hellsfire stumbles upon her and her captors, he rushes in to rescue her, alone and unarmed. His fear and fury unleash an uncontrollable magical force that grants him the power to save the princess-and change the world.

Hellsfire has never craved nor dreamed of power. But such magic as he now possesses has not been seen in Northern Shala for a thousand years, since the devastation of the War of the Wizards and the creation of the Wastelands.

Now Hellsfire must leave all he's ever known, and make a dangerous journey to learn to master this wild, ferocious power-power he knows he is not ready to wield. More difficult still, he needs to master his emotions. If he can't, the power will consume him, Alexandria will fall, and darkness will eclipse the land, destroying everyone he loves.

In the dead of cold, the spark shall burn...

One day, I was browsing Goodreads and came across Catalyst. I read the description and said to myself, "Self, this seems like a good read. I should really add this to my list."
A few days later, Marc contacted me about a review.
Destiny?
I am thinking so :)
I am pretty stoked to read about this fantastical world of magic, wizards, and (hopefully) romance
Fingers crossed!
Look for the review!

What did you score this week??
