Q: What is the best book you've read in the last month? What is the worst book you've read in the last month?.

Honestly, I haven't finished any reads this month.
:(
But I'm going to pick from the books I read so far this year. Sound good?? Okay!

Best

I'm not a huge fan of the cover art, but it was a fantastic book. The writing was beautiful.

Worst, but not really

It was an okay book, but it just wasn't really my cup of tea.

How about you?? Remember to leave your link.
Happy Hopping!

Q: Have you ever looked at book's cover and thought, This is going to horrible? But, was instead pleasantly surprised? Show us the cover and tell us about the book.

First one I thought of was Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. I absolutely can not stand this cover. I know there are a lot of people that love it, but I just can't do it. But, awesome book! The love story if adorable. I am so glad that I picked it up off of the shelf.

Unwind.
What can I say about Unwind?
A truly amazing book.
I had nightmares and literally could not stop thinking about this book.
I had to take it off of my shelf.
I am continually creeped out by this cover.
This book could change your way of thinking.

I am a total sucker for a beautiful, intriguing, alluring cover. Yes, I often times judge books by there covers. So, I don't often find myself reading books with ick for covers. But I am all for it if it is a beautiful, interesting book.

Q: What book would you love to see made into a movie or television show and do you have actors/actresses in mind to play the main characters?

Divergent for sure! I am in love with this world. It makes me nervous to think about it because I don't want it to be ruined. But I would love to see it on the big screen!

As always, I can not wait for The Mortal Instruments movie! I have read that they switched some sort of people (I know, real informative) and now have been moving quickly. Can. Not. Wait!

I am sure that I have more, but I can not think of any. I am no good at casting roles, so I am not even going to try. I will murder it. :)

Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

Well, I guess I am really not sure. I usually only read YA. I tried reading adult fiction a few years ago, pretending to be all grown up and sophisticated. That sure didn't work out!
The stories of YA books are just fun. And usually well written. It also needs to have some romance. I am a total romance junkie!
So, instead of what I don't read, I only read YA. Well, most of the time :P

Q: What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?

Honestly, I haven't done anything crazy to get a book. But, for Christmas, my hubby and I played a game for my Christmas present books.
He gave me 15 minutes to find the books that I want. The catch was that I had to be within $5 each way of his amount. But, he didn't tell me to amount. I know! How do I do that?! Thankfully, I know my hubby pretty well.
I ended up running around the YA section of Barnes & Noble looking for the books that I wanted. I did get some strange looks, and Cohl laughed while he timed me. It was stressful and incredibly fun! And my hubby enjoyed making me nervous for once :)
I ended up getting Shatter Me, Silence, and Eve.

Question of the Week: When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

Oh, I am sassy and buy most of my books. The books that are fantastic and I loved, I definitely keep. Some of the books that were a little less than loved, I donate to the library. I also try to do the occasional second hand book giveaway to share the love.
I really have to admit, I don't borrow a lot of books from the library. I also don't have many people around me that share the same passion. But, I tend to let the library books gather dust instead of reading them.
But, I love everyone of the books that I own :)

Question: Keeping with the Spirit of Giving this season, what book do you think EVERYONE should read and if you could, you would buy it for all of your family and friends?

The book in 2011 that I absolutely LOVED and want everyone, their mother, and the chair to read is Divergent

This book is so different from ones that I have read before. The world of Divergent is incredible and terrible in the same breath. I can not wait for Insurgent as well! I am definitely going to make the chair read this one ;)

Not a lot of people I know read the same books as I do, or really read at all. I am glad that I have the blogging community to recommend books to.

Question: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

This one is a little tough for me. I almost always find something in a book that I love. It was not until I really dove into reviewing that I noticed things that annoy me. It was difficult really to pinpoint them, but I did my best.

Not enough dialog.
I am one of those people that has to always have a tv on, but don't usually watch it. I need noise in real life. And it gets boring in books when there is no noise. I need someone talking with something, even a tree for that matter. Or kissing. Even inner dialog is good. I don't care for a ton of info all at once. At least make that part interesting. Ugh!

Not enough romance.
:(
I know this probably sounds weird, but I live for YA romance!! It is that hanging moment right before the kiss; that electric charge between touching skin that just makes you tingle and happy. I get sad from romance deficiency. I need heavy doses or I go through withdrawal.

Stories to nowhere

*puts down the book* "What just happened? And why?" I have read a few of these types of books, and thought "What was the point of the MC doing what they did?" It drives me nuts when a story charges on with nowhere to go. I need something to grasp onto, a think, fat story that makes me want to burst.

You're winding me

Too much info dumped onto me at one time. I love a story that takes it's time with the back stories. Putting the pieces together and adding the situations up is half the fun. I don't need to know who did what and why all in one chapter. Make me work for it! Keep me intrigued.

Well, I hope all that made sense. I am pretty easy to please with books though.
YA + kissing + frustrating, hot boy= love

Question: It's Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. so we want to know what you are Thankful for - blogging related of course! Who has helped you out along the way? What books are you thankful for reading?

First and foremost, I have to thank my husband Cohl. I know it is not directly blog related, but I am so thankful everyday that I found such an amazing man. He has helped me in so many ways, and really helps to keep me grounded and true to who I am.

In general, I am in thankful for the entire book blogging community. I never knew that such a fantastic world existed and there were people so much like me. My writing has been growing in leaps, as well as my reading habits. I am also thankful for all the amazing and talented YA writers. If it weren't for these talented minds, I would not have found the community in the first place. Yay for fantastic writers!
I am also extremely thankful to my followers! You guys are awesome. The sweet and excited comments mean the world to this book junkie.

Some books that I am thankful for:
Twilight Series
Harry Potter
The Mortal Instruments
The Hungers Games
Divergent
and the list goes on and on!

Happy Thanksgiving! Cheers to best wishes and full bellies!

Funny thing, I already made this list out for my hubby. I'm ahead of the game!

See??

Lol My hubby did already get me Crossed, so I can cross that off the list. He told me to make him a list of 10 that I really wanted, so naturally I picked 13. Of course there is more that I want. There is always more!

What is on your Christmas List!

OH! I spelled Legend wrong :s lol

Question: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran's Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.

Real life?? My aunt and uncle served in the Navy years ago. Their son, Derek has been in Afghanistan for the past two years and just recently came home! Whoo! I am extremely close to my family, and it was very stressful knowing what was happening in that part of the world and being totally helpless for my cousin. Individually, he is not saving the world. But he is part of a team that is  working toward a better future.
Here are a few pics of Derek's arrival home.

In the book world?? Jasper Hale. He can save this damsel in distress any day, distress totally optional.

Who is your strapping soldier?

If you have any YA book recommendations, please let me know!!

One more for the road. He has the best smile under the sun :D

Q. If you could have dinner with your favorite book character, who would you eat with and what would you serve?

Actually, it's kind of weird. I don't have many favorite characters.

But, as soon as I read this question, Luke from Mortal Instruments!

This is pretty much how I see Luke!

I very much enjoy Luke. He is fatherly, down-to-earth, rugged, and he has a bookstore. Oh, did I mention that he is also a werewolf.

Okay, so I have a secret crush on Luke. So what??

I think I would probably make Luke some lasagna. Yup, he seems like the lasagna type. Then we would talk about his life as a Shadowhunter, his adventures as a werewolf, and basically just enjoy his company.

In short, he seems like he would be an amazing man and extremely interesting.

How about you??

Q.What superhero is your alter-ego?

I have never been one to know much about superheros. But, after some research, I decided on Storm.

I would love to have Storm's abilities!

Weather control, witchcraft and magic, amazing hand to hand combat abilities (which I have always wanted!).

I have always fantasized that element control was possible.

(my book may or may not be slightly based on this....)

It would be amazing!

Plus, she is damn hot.

Q. What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

It seems like all my answers lately are coming back to The Mortal Instruments. I know, but I love them!!

So, I am sure you all know that they are making the movie soon, but they are still in process of casting and the screenplay, but I have had my ideas for a certain character that has already been chosen.

So, one of my favorite characters is Jace. Duh.

I seem to talk about him a lot. He is definitely one of my YA crushes. Yet, he is totally infuriating to read about, I still love him :D

So, I did agree with a lot of people that Alex Pettyfer would be perfect. I mean, look at him.

......

...

..

.

Sorry, got a little distracted. *wipes drool off lips*

Anywho, I think that Alex's face, and other parts, are perfect for Jace. With that said, they did cast Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace. I really do like Jamie as well.

Jamie with Lily (Clary) I am definitely going to give him a chance! I am very excited about this movie and really wish they would move forward with it so I can see all of my fav characters in action. But, I guess it takes time to perfect a fantastic story.

I do think that Jamie is an interesting choice, but I really did like him in other movies, so I am still pretty excited.

How about you??

How about one for the road.

 Your welcome :D
