In My Mailbox (12)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme created by Kristi at The Story Siren that gives readers the chance to share the books they bought/received/swapped/rented over the past week.

For Review:

Codename: Dancer by Amanda Brice
Publication Date: April 15, 2011
Publisher: Amanda Brice

I was contacted by Amanda this weekend about reviewing this book. I have to say, I am in need of something fun and upbeat, so I was very happy to see this in my inbox. Codename: Dancer is also a finalist in the Golden Heart Award for Best Young Adult Romance. Whoot! Can't wait!

I have also received a few other books for review as of recent that for some odd reason I never added to my IMM. So, today, I'm playing a little catch up!

Charlie Woodchuck and the Minor Niner by Dalya Moon
Publication Date: July 25, 2011
Publisher: CreateSpace

I was a little weary when I found this in my inbox, but after reading about the book, I just couldn't pass it up. It sounds cute and heartwarming.

Dragon's Pupils- The Sword Guest by Martin Chu Shui
Publication Date: September 28, 2010

I was contacted Martin for a review for this book a while back. Honestly, I totally forgot about it. I know, Bad Blogger! So, I am finally sitting down with it this week and am very intrigued by it.

Coffee at Little Angels by Nadine Rose Larter
Publication Date: May 26, 2011
Publisher: Katalina Playroom

The concept of this book is interesting to me. I normally only read romances, so I am taking a leap with this one. Here is to jumping high!

From Netgalley:

The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab
Publication Date: August 2, 2011
Publisher: Hyperion Books CH

As I have said before, I haven't really read any witch books as of recent. I guess is is high time to do so!

Bought:

The Giver by Lois Lowry
Enough said.

I see this one all. the. time. at Goodwill, and finally decided it was time for me to own a copy. I figured that a great dyspopian classic like this one should take up residence on my shelf.

New Moon by Stephanie Meyer
Yes, I do already own a copy of this book, and all the others. But, I decided it was time to stock up for a Twilight Secondhand Giveaway for the future!

Masquerade by Melissa de la Cruz
Publication Date: May 1, 2007
Publisher: Hyperion Books CH

Revelations by Melissa de la Cruz
Publication Date: October 28, 2008

I found the first in this series at Goodwill, and then this weekend found the next two. I am hesitant, I hate cheating on Twilight!
The Demon Trapper's Daughter by Jana Oliver
Publication Date: February 1, 2011
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin

Yes! Finally! I have been wanting, no, needing this book since I first saw it at B&N. I am ecstatic to finally have it in my hands! I love me some kick-butt heroine.

As you can see, my TBR pile is teetering on the bring of a disaster!
So, I am attempting to put a stop to my nasty book buying habits for the time being. TRY, I say. But I will not even attempt to promise this one! So, unless I receive a review copy or something from Netgalley, I will be putting a short end to my IMM. I know, very sad! I do hope that you will continue keeping up because I do enjoy seeing the lovelies that all of you have received!

I wanna see your pile!!

I've never read The Giver. I should. I own several copies, I just never get around to reading it.
