Q. Do you have a favorite series that you read over and over again? Tell us a bit about it and why you keep on revisiting it?
I am completely in LOVE with The Mortal Instruments. It is by far my favorite YA series, other than Twilight, and one of the main reasons for my major YA book addiction. Thank you Cassandra Clare.
I have so many reasons for loving them. Here are just a couple of reasons for having a crush on these books:
Cassandra Clare's writing style. Example? I would be happy to!
“There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then.”
― CassanI dra Clare, City of Glass
“She supposed they were imperfections, those marks, but they didn't feel that way to her; they were a history, cut into his body: the map of a life of endless war.”
― Cassandra Clare (City Of Glass)
"I dont want to grow up, I want to be an angst ridden teenager who cant confront his own inner demons and takes it out verbally on other people instead" (Jace)
There are sooo many more amazing quotes, but you should really just pick up the books and read them. I can't possibly re-type the whole thing :P
The characters are amazing. For real.
Cassandra writes the characters in a way that makes you feel so close and connected. Their emotions completely swam from the pages and intertwined with my own. I lived in these pages and hung onto every word. Yes, I get very into my books :D
And, just one more reason...
He is amazing good looking. Golden eyes, angular face, golden halo of hair, taut, long muscles. He is quite swoon worthy. But, he is amazingly witty, charming, and at times, fantastically sweet and loving.
Cassandra Clare is amazing, and I am very impatiently awaiting the next books in the MI series, as well as the Infernal Devices series.
A few parting pictures of the cast for the movie.
I just have to say: Jamie is not who I had envisioned playing Jace, but I am so excited still, and think that it could work. Enough said.
