Cover Crazy (14) Croak

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

Find Croak on:

 3 Reasons:

The text of the title. With that little skull, it says everything about the book and the premises.

The sassy look on the characters face. From the synopsis, the MC is rebellious. And oh boy does this look say it all :D

The MC looks like a typical teen in her hoodie, but totally not typical with her scythe.

I have this one from netGalley and I am seriously thinking about bumping it up on my TBR list. I know, sassy! We will see though. It is pretty darn tempting :D

Cover Crazy (13) Struck

Find Struck on:
Goodreads / Amazon

Why it makes me CRAZY!

The text is simple and lets the cover stand on its own.

The girl seems to be holding the power of the sky within her.

The color in the sky are beautiful and menacing.

Why it makes me CRAZY!

The green on black is amazing! I love the contrast.
The of the title is so elegant and swirly. I like swirly.

The girl looks like she is floating. It adds a little bit of whimsy.

I am so excited for Spellcaster. Spellbound was one of my favorite reads from this summer, so I am really looking forward to the continued story of Emma and Brendan :D

Cover Crazy (11)

The tree is amazing. It is earthly, whimsical, and lively.

The dreary sky works against the tree; it may speak of the conflict in the book.

Just like Divergent, the text of the title is great for the dystopian setting.

I also love the dark and foggy cityscape.

One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

Cover Crazy (10)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

Why Above makes me crazy:
Why wouldn't it make me crazy?? It is absolutely gorgeous!

It so looks like the description of the book.

The sky is tragic and dark, mimicking the mood of the synopsis.

The wings on this girl are breathtaking. I wish I could rock some fab wings like these babies.
I love it!

Matthew has loved Ariel from the moment he found her in the tunnels, her bee's wings falling away. They live in Safe, an underground refuge for those fleeing the city Above--like Whisper, who speaks to ghosts, and Jack Flash, who can shoot lightning from his fingers.
But one terrifying night, an old enemy invades Safe with an army of shadows, and only Matthew, Ariel, and a few friends escape Above. As Matthew unravels the mystery of Safe's history and the shadows' attack, he realizes he must find a way to remake his home--not just for himself, but for Ariel, who needs him more than ever before.
ABOVE is the debut of an amazing new voice.

Cover Crazy (9)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

Fever by Lauren DeStefano

Why I love it:

I'm in love with the fact that it matches Wither. Yay for matching covers!

She is so done up like she would have been in the mansion, but in a broken down kind of way. The way the model is sitting suggests the struggle Rhine has lived through.

The different props in the photo really intrigue me into how they fit into the story.

At first, I didn't like the bright green, but it has really grown on me!

I absolutely can not wait for this release!!

Cover Crazy (8)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

This girls red hair is brilliant and powerful. It plays nicely with the title.

The text of the title is an elegant contrast to the drastic, wavy hair.
Her dress also balances the brilliance and innocence of the cover.

This cover just  says to me, "I know you want to read me. I know you think that I am beautiful. Come and read why."

Gorgeous.

Cover Crazy (7)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

This cover is creepy and intriguing.

The font for the title is elegant like a sign would be, but I love the way the Peculiar Children is written in child's font. It is cute, but creepy with the dark cover.
The lines decorating the title are beautiful. They make the cover feel gothic.

That girl is freakin' floating. Floating! It makes me want to know how peculiar the other children are!

A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. And a strange collection of very curious photographs. It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children who once lived here—one of whom was his own grandfather—were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a desolate island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

Cover Crazy (6)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

The Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking
Switched     Torn     Ascend

The deep and dark color of the starry sky absolutely gorgeous.

The plants and butterflies shadowed against the turqous sky reminds me of childhood. Playing hide-and-go-seek in the dark was one of my favorite things to do in the summer.

The overall feeling of the covers is slightly calming, but makes you a little jumping, thinking that something could happen at any moment.

The text of the titles is so magical and dreamy.

I just had to include the cover for the whole series. They were all so beautiful and I just couldn't leave any out.

Hades by Alexandra Adornetto

I have yet to read Halo, but am definitely going to stuff it into my TBR pile sooner or later.

Flying motorcycles are always rad.
They lightning and lava gives you a clue of the despair and torment that is to come in the book.
Those wings are to die for.

The colors are magical but dreamy at the same moment. It sweetens you up right before the storm.

What cover are you crazy for??

Cover Crazy (4)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

As I Wake by Elizabeth Scott

My fav part of this cover has to be the girl. She seems to be in absolute torment, and is almost unwilling to open her eyes. It is a great visual effect for the description of the book.

The text for the title is just gorgeous.

The girls hair looks like smoke, billowing with the lost memories of Ava (main character).

The colors of the cover resemble fire, eating away at Ava's mind.
I have a strong feeling that As I Wake will find its way to my WOW. We will see!

Cover Crazy (3)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

My Cover Crazy Fix Pick is:
Luminous by Dawn Metcalf
Author: Dawn Metcalf
Publication Date: June 30, 2011
Pages: 304

As reality slips and time stands still, Consuela finds herself thrust into the world of the Flow. Removed from all she loves into this shifting world overlapping our own, Consuela quickly discovers she has the power to step out of her earthly skin and cloak herself in new ones-skins made from the world around her, crafted from water, fire, air. She is joined by other teens with extraordinary abilities, bound together to safeguard a world they can affect, but where they no longer belong.

When murder threatens to undo the Flow, the Watcher charges Consuela and elusive, attractive V to stop the killer. But the psychopath who threatens her new world may also hold the only key to Consuela's way home.
The cover of Luminous is so amazing to me! The colors are beautiful and the text perfectly fits the title.
The cover also speaks of the main character's ability to change into different elements of her world. It is just so alluring.

Cover Crazy (2)

Cover Crazy is a meme created by The Book Worms. It is all about giving notice to the beautiful, interesting, and sometimes crazy covers of our fave books!

My Cover Crazy Fix Pick is:
Crossing Over by Anna Kendall

Author: Anna Kendall
Release Date: November 10, 2011
Pages:384

“Roger Kilbourne has the ability to “cross over” into the land of the dead and speak with its residents. It is a startling gift, and not a pleasant one. Roger manages to escape his brutal uncle, who has exploited his talents for years; after he gets a job in the palace laundry, he thinks he will be safe. Instead, there are worse dangers. First, he falls hopelessly in love with the bewitching, willful Lady Cecilia; next, he is pulled into the midst of life-threatening court intigue. Soon Roger is using his gift as a way to get the life he dreams of—even if it means bringing the dead back to the land of the living.”

What about this cover do I love?

The trees absolutely show the connection to "crossing over", as the synopsis describes. The suddenness of the change in the tree, from thriving and living to dead and colorless makes this cover so eye catching.

The absolute colorlessness of the landscape and the sky gives you the feeling of foreboding. It might also be reminiscent of the feeling the main character has when he crosses over to the land of the dead.
What was the cover that you were crazy over this week?
