Goodreads Synopsis

Dry, sarcastic, sixteen-year-old Cam Cooper has spent the last seven years in and out hospitals. The last thing she wants to do in the short life she has left is move 1,500 miles away to Promise, Maine - a place known for the miraculous events that occur there. But it's undeniable that strange things happen in Promise: everlasting sunsets; purple dandelions; flamingoes in the frigid Atlantic; an elusive boy named Asher; and finally, a mysterious envelope containing a list of things for Cam to do before she dies. As Cam checks each item off the list, she finally learns to believe - in love, in herself, and even in miracles.

A debut novel from an immensely talented new writer, The Probability of Miracles crackles with wit, romance and humor and will leave readers laughing and crying with each turn of the page.

My Thoughts

I am having a hard time trying to find the right words to say about this book. I found it gripping, funny, tearful, snarky, frustrating; pretty much so many emotions in one book that is hard to pinpoint exactly how I feel.

Teaser Tuesday (24) The Probability of Miracles & Practice Cake

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder

My Teaser:

pg. 145 "'See what I mean about the damsel-in-distress thing?' said Cam. 'I think it's a problem for you. You're like a help-aholic,' she said, catching her breath as he hoisted her to shore and made sure she got her footing."

This book really made me cry. It was out of my comfort zone, and totally worth it.

Practice Cake by Dalya Moon

My Teaser:

pg. 2 "I needed the job, but I also had a really inappropriate impulse to lean over and lick the boy's neck, to find out if he tasted like icing sugar."

pg. 4 "He was pretty great, like one of those Greek statues, but with too many clothes on."

Practice Cake= Adorable, funny book! I love it. The writing is great and fun, and Dalya is a sweetheart <3

Tease me!!
